Welcome to the Northwestern Elementary PreK-6 Mathematics Website! A Balanced Approach!

In our classrooms at Northwestern Elementary teachers foster a love of math and provide opportunities for students to think mathematically, develop flexibility, fluency, and be able to make connections between math concepts and topics. Tasks in the classroom are aligned with Ohio’s Learning Standards for Mathematics and designed to be accessible to learners at all levels. Emphasis is placed on mathematical literacy, deep understanding of mathematics, math reasoning, modeling, and being able to communicate effectively about mathematics.
